Palm Ridge Magistrates Court Postpones Tiffany Meek Matter

The matter involving Tiffany Nicole Meek, who faces charges relating to the death of her minor child, was briefly heard at the Palm Ridge Magistrates’ Court on 26 January 2026.

The court postponed the matter to 18 February 2026 to allow both the State and the defence sufficient time to continue preparations and to ensure that outstanding information is properly exchanged ahead of further proceedings.

Ms Meek remains in custody following the refusal of bail during earlier court appearances. The charges include murder, crimen injuria, and defeating the ends of justice. As with all criminal matters, she is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

During proceedings, the defence indicated that engagement with the prosecution is ongoing as part of standard trial-preparation processes.

The presiding magistrate emphasised the importance of early engagement between the prosecution and defence in order to promote efficiency and reduce delays in complex criminal matters.

The case has drawn public attention since the child was reported missing in 2025 and later found deceased near the family’s residence. Investigations by law-enforcement authorities remain ongoing.

The matter is scheduled to resume on the next court date.
